principle

It is made of glass cellulose membrane coated with recombinant syphilis antigen (Au-TP Ag) labeled with colloidal gold, and nitrocellulose membrane coated with recombinant syphilis antigen (TP Ag) and rabbit anti-TP antibody. It uses colloidal gold immunoassay technology and chromatography principle to qualitatively detect Treponema pallidum antibodies in blood samples. During the test, the syphilis antibodies in the blood sample can combine with the colloidal gold labeled antigen to form an antigen-antibody complex. Due to the chromatography, the complex moves forward along the paper strip. When passing the test line (T), it combines with the pre-coated antigen to form an "Au-TP Ag-TP Ab-TP Ag" sandwich and agglomerates to develop color. The free colloidal gold-labeled syphilis antibody was enriched and colored by binding to the pre-coated rabbit anti-TP antibody at the quality control site (C). Negative samples will only show color at the quality control (C).

Test result notes

Negative result: Any negative result does not absolutely guarantee that there is no low concentration of Treponema pallidum antibodies in the blood sample. Therefore, the test should be repeated at different times.
