GenesPrint CE certified Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Type I/II Antigen Test Kit
GenesPrint HIV (Type 1/2) Antigen Rapid Test Cassette
GenesPrint This product is used for in vitro qualitative detection of whether human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) type 1/2 antibodies are present in human urine, saliva, and body fluids. It is used clinically to assist in determining whether a person is infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) type 1/2.
HIV There is no cure for viral STDs. However, there are antiviral drugs that can slow down the progression of the disease.
AIDS, also known as acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, is caused by the HIV virus. This virus destroys the human immune system, making the patient unable to resist disease invasion. People infected with HIV may remain in good health for several years. But after a period of time, as their immune system weakens, they will develop certain special diseases, such as opportunistic infections or malignant tumors, and then become AIDS patients.
The HIV virus is mainly hidden in blood, semen, and vaginal secretions. A very small amount is also hidden in saliva. The virus cannot easily penetrate intact skin and enter the human body, but it can penetrate the thinner mucous membranes of the mouth and rectum.
There are three main ways of spreading:
AIDS can be detected through blood tests, such as when a mother who has sex without using a condom comes into contact with the semen, vaginal secretions or blood of an HIV carrier. When a mother infected with HIV transmits the virus to her baby during pregnancy, childbirth or breastfeeding, and the baby becomes infected through damaged skin, eyes, oral and nasal mucous membranes. Or when a mother shares needles with an HIV carrier and receives blood or blood products infected with HIV.
However, the virus cannot be detected within the first three months after infection. This is the so-called "window period" in HIV testing. In this case, the person taking the blood test needs to undergo another test six months later to confirm the test results.
Up to now, the medical community still has not found a way to completely cure AIDS. But there are many different auxiliary drugs that can reduce the patient's vulnerability to other bacteria and viruses, thereby improving the patient's health and quality of life. Therefore, patients should face AIDS positively. To reduce the chance of being infected with HIV, you should avoid unsafe sexual contact, do not have promiscuous sex, and do not share needles and syringes with others.
